I recently read an article from Tom’s hardware.  The author, Amanda Caswell, was discussing the dichotomy of people’s love/hate for AI.

I have noticed that there are a lot of people that dislike AI.

Is it just another “tool” that man will use to be more productive or will it be our downfall❓

I very well may concede it may end humanity as we know it

Having said that, I also think the genie is out of the bottle and there’s no putting it back.

And, sticking your head in the sand🦚, is not likely to be helpful regardless of how you feel.

Quickly Adding Business Cards

I’ve been attending Chamber of commerce events lately and often return home with a few business cards (which I was dutifully entering into a spreadsheet).  I was typing in some recent ones when I realized “Why don’t I make an app for this”.

Less than 1 hour later I had an app that scanned a Business card, OCRs it with Opus, search for them on LinkedIn via API call from PeopleDataLabs , and added them as a contact to my phone and to an online Cloudflare database (which I can easily push to an email drip campaign).

Quick QR Code Generator 💪🏻

When I was adding QR codes and Barcodes to Noticeable Text, I realized another cool tool would be to create a QR Code generator that will build custom QR codes for a TON of different things.

Currently I have 14 different actions but, since you can add a “URL” the URL can be for endless options…

For those that need inspiration I made a “Need ideas” button which has 1,000 random ideas just to help you get ideas.

Replacing the Horrible Windows Taskbar

I’m getting closer to being ready to share my AHK Taskbar replacement for Windows.

I’m adding lots of Bells & Whistles that AHK Users will love❗  I knew I didn’t like the Windows Taskbar and Explorer but, until I began building my own versions, I didn’t realize how much I would change!

In under an hour I used Claude to create an app that scan’s business cards, looks them up on LinkedIn, Adds them to my phone as a contact and adds them to an online database.

What we 🅰utomated this week with AutoHotkey #138

This week was another big week.

I revamped my whole startup management setup, kept training a local AutoHotkey LLM, and built Phone Bridge to mirror and control my Android phone from the desktop, plus a media shrinker, a QR action driver, a mouse spotlight, and a pile of other AHK tools.

I also ran 150 tests across a bunch of AI models to see which ones write the cleanest V2 code (Grok came out surprisingly cheap and good).

In this week’s video I walk you through all of it and why I think the real win with AI is using it to generate code, then letting deterministic programs do the work.
