Windows Tools for Multi-Tabling Grinders Who Want a Quieter PC

Reclaim the RAM Windows wastes before you load your tables and tracker, silence pop-ups mid-session, and throw tables between monitors with a hotkey.

You know the drill. Twelve tables open, PokerTracker humming, HUD stats on every seat, and right as you’re facing a river shove on table 7… Windows decides it’s the perfect moment for an update notification. Right over the action buttons.

Or the client stutters because Windows is quietly running a dozen background services you never asked for, and you time out of two hands. Sound familiar? ❓

Let me be straight with you up front: nothing on this page touches the poker client, reads your hands or gives you an edge. These are small Windows tools for the PC and the desk your grind runs on. That’s it. If that’s what you need, read on.

And one rule before anything else: check your site’s permitted-software list before running ANY third-party tool while you play. Window-management tools are usually fine, but your site’s rules win every time.

So below are the tools I’d hand a grinder, most helpful first. They all run on your Windows PC. Click Learn more on any one for the full rundown.

Now on with the show… 😃

The Rig: A Leaner Windows Before You Sit Down 🖥️

Your tables, the tracker database and the HUD all want memory and CPU. Windows wants them too. Here’s how to take some back.

ToolWhat it does for you
RegainRAM

One window shows the Windows services and hidden settings that hold memory in the background (SysMain, telemetry, the search indexer, OneDrive sync and more). Switch off what you don’t need, or hit Disable All. One click puts them all back.
Do Not Disturb Toggle
Learn more →
One hotkey turns on Windows 11’s Do Not Disturb when the session starts, and the same hotkey turns it off after. No more toast notifications sliding in over your action buttons.
Power Plan Swapper
Learn more →
Flip to high performance with a hotkey when you sit down to grind, and back to power saving when you’re done. Handy on a laptop that throttles itself mid-session.
Windows Performance Optimizer
Learn more →
Switch off the animations and window effects Windows uses for eye candy, in one click. Your original settings get backed up so you can put them back anytime.
Tip: Run RegainRAM and flip your power plan before you open the tracker and the first table, not halfway through a session. Then turn on Do Not Disturb. That’s your pre-session routine, done before the first hand is dealt. ⚡
Juggling Tables Across Monitors 🗂️

These move and pin windows. They don’t click, bet or read anything inside the poker client.

ToolWhat it does for you
Toggle Between Monitors
Learn more →
Throw the active window to your other monitor with a hotkey. Pull a table over for a closer look, or push the tracker to the side screen.
Bring Window to Mouse
Learn more →
Move any window right under your mouse pointer, or pick one from a list and bring it over. Great for finding the lobby or the cashier window buried under a wall of tables.
Active Toggler
Learn more →
Cycle through every open window of the same program with one hotkey, or start it if it isn’t running. Quick way to flip between your tracker, your notes and your study tool.
Always on Top
Learn more →
Pin your session notes, a range chart or a timer so it stays visible above everything else. One hotkey on, one hotkey off.
Study and Session Habits 📚
ToolWhat it does for you
Quick Record
Learn more →
Record your main monitor with a couple of clicks. Save a session, or just the tough spots, to go over with your coach or study group later.
Simple Stopwatch
Learn more →
Keep an honest clock on session length. Stop works as a pause, so breaks don’t count. Useful when you’re trying to figure out your real hourly.

One thing I’ve learned: the small stuff around the work matters more than people think. A stable PC and no pop-ups won’t fix your 3-bet ranges, but they do take a couple of annoying variables off the table. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist. 😊)

Pick ONE thing on this list that bugs you every session. Fix that. Then pick the next one.

How about you? What’s the one thing about your setup that drives you nuts mid-session? Drop me a note and tell me. I read every one.
