You sit down to work, open a browser “just for a second,” and an hour later you’re still scrolling. Willpower alone rarely wins that fight, because the distraction is always one click away. SiteBlocker takes the click away: Stop losing hours to social media: your distracting sites simply won’t load until your focus session ends.

No Babysitting Required
Your sites come back on their own at the chosen time, with a live countdown so you always know how long is left. Set it, close the window, and get to work. SiteBlocker keeps running quietly in the system tray.
What SiteBlocker Does
Blocks Sites Everywhere at Once
SiteBlocker blocks your list system-wide, so Chrome, Edge, Firefox and every other app on the PC are covered together. Each site is blocked along with its www. and mobile m. versions, so there’s no back door.
Hard to Cheat
To stop a session early you have to type “I choose to stop focusing” by hand. Pasting doesn’t work. That small pause is often all it takes to get back to work. While a session runs, the site list and time controls are locked too.
Set Up in Seconds
- Paste anything: full links, several sites at once, with or without www. SiteBlocker cleans them up.
- Suggested sites: one click adds 20 popular time-wasters such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok and X.
- Skip a site for today: uncheck it and it stays in your list without being blocked this time.
- Quick-pick times: +30 min, +1 hr, +2 hr, +3 hr or +4 hr, or choose an exact unlock time.

Safe by Design
SiteBlocker only edits its own clearly-marked section of the Windows hosts file and saves a dated backup before every change. If your PC restarts mid-session, the session ends and your sites are unblocked the next time SiteBlocker starts.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- AutoHotkey v2.0.2 or newer
- Administrator rights (Windows asks for permission at launch, because blocking sites means editing a protected system file)
A full PDF user guide is included in the download.
