Using Chrome’s Local AI

You may not be aware that Chrome now downloads a ~4 gigabyte local LLM to your machine (without asking).   And removing it is a pain❗

But Isaias asked: Why not make use of it❓

So, with a little work, we created an html page that lets you access it (Normally you cannot access it directly.)  Check it out in this video

Easily Let users Customize the Hotkeys

One of the best strengths of AutoHotkey is YOU get to decide what hotkey makes sense to you.

This means it is much easier to remember.   Of course this breaks down when you give your script to someone else.

Our Triggers class allows you to let users select their own hotkeys (and automatically displays the active Hotkeys in the System tray.)

Improving People’s Lives: Story #107

I’m co-chair on the Hunt County Government Affairs Technology focus

Later this year I’ll be meeting with a Texas Congressman to discuss what Technology to focus on in Hunt County, TX.

AI will be a huge part of it (and the other things that come along with it like Infrastructure/Utilities/ Water, Workforce Training, and Broadband).

We had to put together our priorities quickly so, after I did some thinking, I used AI (and my writing style) to crank out my top 3 priorities.    What would have taken me hours, took me ~27 minutes (but who’s counting LOL)

  • Have you tried GPT 5.6 (On my tests it is smart but I still prefer Claude for AHK Code)
  • Grok 4.5 was released and is definitely among the Frontier models
  • Kimi K3 is quite good at AutoHotkey code (and is around Claude Sonnet prices)
