Howdy %Name%,
You might know that I work every day. Until my break last summer I think I worked nearly every day since before covid hit.
This isn’t because I’m “struggling”, or because we are so “swamped” it is because I love what I do.
The other day I was listening to a podcast and heard the below quote from Mark Twain:
The object of life is to make your vocation your vacation
I’m lucky enough to have done that! How about you %Name%❓ What’s your “thing”?
BTW- if you know what it is, and it isn’t AutoHotkey, you can always pay us to automate more of your work so you can focus on your passion!
Now on with the show…

Building a simple Inventory tool
Last week Connie, an AHK Hero member reached out to us asking for a consultation helping him build a “simple” inventory tool.
Since there was no privileged data being shared I asked Connie if we could share the recording and tool.
He agreed so you can check out what we came up with in this video. If you want to grab a copy of this tool you can get it here.

Hotkeys / HotStrings Randomly stop working? This might be the cause
AJ, a client of ours, reached out to me with an interesting problem. Several times a day his Hotkeys & HotStrings would, randomly, stop working. This reminded me about something Isaias noticed after he installed PowerToys.
While we’re not sure exactly what PowerToys is doing, Isaias did confirm that it was causing his Hotkeys & HotStrings to stop working (especially after logging in).
We discuss this weird phenomenon, and how to work-around it in this video.

How to Add Sub-menus to an AutoHotkey menu
Rizwan was working on a project and wanting to add sub-menus to an AHK menu. He asked Irfan for some help so, of course, I hit record.
You can see the short tutorial here. Menus are way under-utilized! It’s one of the core things we used in Prompt Assistant.

Improving People’s Lives: Story #17
Our recent AHK Hero calls have been quite amazing! It’s really great watching our member’s grow and be more productive!
Recently Ray, a lawyer out of Canada has recently really be showing amazing progress. One thing I think that really helped him was been working on a “project” script and has learned a ton in working on it (as have many other AHK Hero members.)
