Thankfully we’ve been getting really busy at the-Automator which is great!
We’re getting a lot of client requests for work and working on a few courses. But we’re getting so busy I realized I need to rethink where I should be spending my time.
My general goal is to stop doing things that don’t matter and only work on the things that really make a difference. In this video I discuss how learned about “time vampires” from Dan Kennedy in this book.
Also, now that I have both Isaias and Irfan working full time, I can delegate some tasks and focus on the things I do best (marketing / lead gen / business strategy). Deciding what you can /should hand off to others isn’t easy, but it is time well spent.
Currently I’m handing out more responsibility and ensuring they have what they need to be successful and keep our clients happy 😁
I highly encourage you go through a process to identify what you really should be doing and what can be handed off to someone else. It’s a liberating (and somewhat terrifying) process but it is a great way to get more time on your hands.
Obviously we also use AutoHotkey to automate much of what we do. Currently we spend around 29% of our time automating internal systems & tasks. We could automate less of our work and make more money by doing client work or creating courses however, investing in ourselves is part of my long-term strategy that I’m not willing to sacrifice!
So what can you stop doing entirely or delegate to someone else so you can focus on what matters now?

Resetting the AutoHotkey file associations
For some reason several of our AHK Hero members have been losing the file association with AutoHotkey v2. Meaning, when they double-click a file with an .ahk extension, it will often open in an editor. We’re pretty sure it is SciTE4AutoHotkey but not sure why… Anyway, v2 has a simple way to fix this however, in this video, we demonstrate how to take care of it regardless of what version of AutoHotkey you are using.
