Getting the most out of AI News-2026-10-08

AutoHotkey Newsletter

Howdy,

Last week I brought up how wildly productive AI can be.

Over lunch today I thought to myself:  How could I best use AI this afternoon…

Then it hit me❗

Why not build custom pages targeting people by their job title/vocation❓

So when I got home I asked AI to think about possible target audiences that would have unique needs and uses of Automation.

We settled on 31 distinct target audiences.

I then asked AI to:

  1. Build a profile of each target audience including Demographics, Psychographics and specific vocabulary
  2. Use my Headline skill to craft a title and subhead to get their interest (based on their profile)
  3. Decide which of our 400+ tools they would most like to use.
  4. Rank order them by their interest and then use my writing style to draft pages for them.
  5. I reviewed the first few, made some tweaks, and then asked Claude to publish the rest to my WordPress website.

Below are the links to what AI generated.

Merging media Segments

Our Segmenter tool is pretty amazing!  It finds natural segments in our Audio/Video files and lets you decide which segments you want to extract.

Sometimes though I realize certain segments (often non-continuous) should really be merged into one.   Not a big deal because I use my Media Merger tool, but why not bring that functionality right into our tool❓

So I did!

As you can see in this short video, now I can combine segments on the fly.

Helping my father retain his memory

Last week my father turned 86 and, sadly, it’s starting to show.  ☹

I was thinking about how I could help retain his memories so I built a few “quizzes” to help ask him about his life.  Check out the idea in this video.

UIA or ACC?  Why use one over the other?

When automating programs we often jump to UIA. There are cases, however, where ACC may be a better fit.  Check out this video from a Hero extract for knowing which to use when.  If you want to go deeper, Learn UIA walks you through it and Microsoft’s Inspect tool works for both UIA and ACC.

Improving People’s Lives: Story #117

I was enjoying one of my weekly calls with a friend I’m collaborating with and he happened to mention his Facebook Group that he runs teaching people how to speak Samoan.

We were brainstorming on ways to get members’ contact info and I mentioned we could make a quiz.

He liked the idea but we were out of time.

10 minutes later I sent over a URL to a quiz built in a Progressive Web App that we can have behind a squeeze page.

⚡️Productivity tips:  To-Do (per project) list

These days with AI it is way too easy to keep adding more and more features.

Instead of adding every new feature you can think of, write them down as things to add in future versions.

Get this one done and add more later if the tool is a success.

What we 🅰utomated this week with AutoHotkey #151

A Windows update wiped my mapped drives this week, so I built a Drive Creator that maps any folder to a drive letter (and exports your setup so it never happens again).

I also rewrote our client’s Transcribe & Report tool to diarize first with NVIDIA’s Nemotron, got Parakeet voice typing running on the GPU, and showed off TrackTracer, one of 40 free DirtSimple.app browser tools that reveals what Windows quietly remembers about you.

In this week’s video I walk you through all of it, plus the Jev decision tester, the Personal Info Scrubber’s new custom word list, and a Triggers idea for disabling local hotkeys while remoted into another PC.
